Enchanted Balete Tree, Lazi
Because of its eerie outline created by hundreds of hanging roots and vines, this 400 year old tree is believed to be enchanted. Hovering over a fish-filled pond, the tree is not only a sight to behold, but also provides water to local residents. A great place for a brief intermission during your days adventures.
Bandilaan Mountain View Park, Siquijor
Located at the island's highest peak which rises at 557 meters above sea level, Bandilaan Mountain is a must-stop landmark for travelers. The park is the venue for the Healing Festival held during Holy Week each year. With multiple paths leading to the mountain's peak, guests can observe the Way of the Cross, shaded picnic areas and Mother Nature at her finest. Climb to the top of the watchtower for a spectacular 360-view of Siquijor. From this point, hikers can also see neighboring islands including Apo, Cebu, Mindanao and Negros.
Cantabon Cave, Siquijor
The long and winding trek through Cantabon Cave is both a challenge and delight to any spelunker. An hour and a half guided tour through small streams, stalactites and stalagmites will bring you the cave's end where a natural pool awaits; a remarkable place to rest before heading back out.
Cambugahay Falls, Lazi
After descending 136 steps, visitors can choose to cool off in one of three different swimming areas. With swinging vines and hidden caves, this secluded and relatively unexplored oasis is a perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon.
Salagdoong Beach Resort, Maria
Salagdoong Beach is an idyllic hideaway with white sand coastlines, clear waters and a nearby islet. It is a longtime favorite among locals during weekends and holidays. In addition to being a great spot for swimming and snorkeling this venue is also ideal for beach picnics or indulging in the fine cuisine served at the on-site restaurant. The two cliffs jutting out at roughly seven and ten meters above the water make this the perfect day trip for thrill-seekers.
